As the leader of BT Global Telecom Markets (GTM) in Latin America and the Caribbean, Joselito Bergamaschine develops and manages traditional as well as next-generation businesses with operators, mobile operators, broadcasters and ICT companies. Prior to joining BT in 2007, he held management positions at companies such as AT & T, Orange Business Services, Power & Tel and Comsat International. He brings 16 years of experience and deep business knowledge of Latin America and the Caribbean. Joselito holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Inatel do Brasil, one of the most prestigious engineering and technology schools in Latin America.

Cristiano Ferraz
Chief Technology Officer at Netcon Americas

Mr. Cristiano H. Ferraz graduated in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidade Federal Fluminense in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1978. Currently, he holds the position of CTO (Chief Technology Officer) at Netcon Americas, specialized in Industry and Market Analysis and Engineering and Consulting for mission critical telecommunications networks, covering the entire American continent. He is also an associate professor and senior consultant at UNISAT, with a very broad knowledge of telecommunications and specializing in the latest related technologies (Optical Communications, Broadband Access Networks – wireless, HFC, xDSL and xPON –, Ethernet technologies and services, IoT technologies, etc.).


Mr. Ferraz also teaches graduate courses in several Latin American universities and has authored several dissertations and Technical Information papers published by international organizations, and has created and imparted technology courses for several companies across the continent. He is the co-author of twon recently published books (“New Technologies for Ethernet Networks”, Rio de Janeiro, 2017; and “Carrier Ethernet – Standards, Services and Applications”, Rio de Janeiro, November 2018.


Mr. Ferraz is also a member of the Board of Directors of SINDITEC (Employers' Union of the Electronic Industry, Informatics, Telecommunications, Software Production, Hardware Production, Production of Electrical and Electronic Products and Components in the State of Rio de Janeiro), and as such an active member of FIRJAN (the Federation of Industries of Rio de Janeiro state).


He was a longtime employee of Wandel & Goltermann (later Acterna, JDSU, ViaviSolutions). His professional experience with that employer includes the positions of regional director for the northern section of Latin America and of Director of Technical Transfer for Latin America, Spain and Portugal.


Mr. Ferraz is dedicated to new technologies used in telecom networks, including optical transmission, RF an Access. He has more than 25 years of experience designing synchronization systems and networks for telecoms, and especially, in the last few years, for smart grid and IoT applications. During his long career he has provided consulting services to several telcos in the Americas as well as to ITU-T and PNUD.

Thiago Leite - graduated in Business Administration in the is actually Head of Carrier Management and Strategy to BT for the Latam region, a high-growth market that BT is investing in. Previously, he was Head of Service Delivery and PMO Office in BT, where he was accountable for global and regional service provision teams. 

Thiago received his MBA in Project Management from The Fundação Getulio Vargas - FGV. He also is fluent in Spanish and English.

He and his team are responsible for the definition of the Carriers Strategy for the region. His knowledge in this field has come from a practical approach and strong relationship with the key carriers’ partners for BT, making this a tool for transformation measurable for the business.

Entre outros cargos, foi membro do Comitê de Usuários de Serviços de Telecomunicações da Anatel (abril/2019 a abril/2011) e presidente da Associação Brasileira de Telecomunicações Rurais (março/2003 a fevereiro/2011). Na Abranet, já esteve à frente da presidência entre abril/2011 a março/2015, foi diretor do Conselho de Estudos Jurídicos (abril/2007 a março/2011), e presidente do Conselho Consultivo (abril/2015 a março/2019).

Eduardo Parajo

Eduardo Fumes Parajo é vice-presidente da Associação Brasileira de Internet (Abranet) e conselheiro do Comitê Gestor da Internet (CGIbr) no Brasil, representando o setor empresarial, provedores de acesso e conteúdo da internet. Atua no mercado como empresário desde 1990. Foi responsável pela implantação de um dos primeiros projetos de rede local para um grande grupo de mídia brasileiro e um dos primeiros provedores de acesso à internet em um centro empresarial de grande porte, o World Trade Center de São Paulo. Em 1996, fundou, com um grupo de investidores, um novo provedor de internet com foco no atendimento a clientes corporativos e serviços especializados. Atualmente, dedica-se ao desenvolvimento e projetos de implantação de infraestrutura terceirizada em datacenters. Na Abranet, entre outros cargos, foi eleito por duas vezes presidente da entidade (2007-2011 e 2015-2019). No Comitê Gestor da Internet no Brasil, foi eleito em 2011 e reeleito para um segundo mandato em 2013.

Larry Schwartz
Chairman & CEO at Seaborn Networks

Larry is the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Seaborn. He previously served as CEO, board member and one of the owners of the parent company of Global Marine Systems Ltd., one of the world’s largest fleets of cable ships and a leading installer of submarine fiber optic cable systems. Larry led the acquisition of Global Marine from Global Crossing in 2004 as well as the asset acquisition of Red Sky Systems, a developer of subsea network technology. He also previously served as a board member of International Cableship Pte Ltd, a JV with Singapore Telecom that provides subsea cable maintenance in South East Asia.

Before entering the cable ship business, Larry served as a Senior Vice President, Operations of Genuity Inc., a Fortune 1000 and Nasdaq-listed, wholesale carrier with a global network infrastructure, and he also served as Co-Head of Genuity’s Office of Technology & Corporate Development. While there, he led the consolidation of Genuity’s Tier I Global IP Infrastructure with and into Level 3 Communications. Prior to Genuity, Larry was an equity partner with Choate Hall & Stewart, where he specialized in international communications & media transactions. He began his career with White & Case, where he worked on international project finance transactions, large-scale privatizations and M&A.

Larry has also been a co-founder, board member, investor and officer of numerous other telecom, marine engineering and technology companies.
