Carrier Community (CC) is a global telecom club established since 2008 and is organizing annual global carrier community meetings in Berlin for its CC members  – the telecom wholesale service providers. It has organized successfully its 5th annual CC- Digital Cloud 2018 Summit  – Berlin on 18th & 19th June 2018 at The Adlon-Kempinski Hotel for its members with several evening networking receptions. 350+ member executives representing decision makers from 180+ telco and cloud operators have met and networked in Berlin. Stephan Schroeder

Stephan Schroeder heads up Deutsche Telekom's IP-Transit, IP-Peering and CDN portfolio, which is operated by the International Carrier Sales and Solutions (ICSS) unit within Deutsche Telecom AG.

Since joining DT in 2002 and re-joining in 2011, Stephan has run several business units in ICSS, including International Voice Trading, Mobile Carrier Services as well as Strategy, Planning and Operations. He is also serving as Chair of the Supervisory Board of Benocs GmbH, Berlin; a DT affiliate developing backbone delivery optimization for content served to broadband subscribers.

Between 2006 and 2011 Stephan co-founded and ran Axos Capital Partners in Hamburg, an investment boutique focused on Telco investments in Central and Eastern Europe; has acted as non-executive Director to Telarix Inc, a Vienna, VA based software company providing routing, billing and trading tools for the international voice wholesale industry; and has developed and grown new business areas for Calltrade Carrier Services AG in Zurich. Prior to 2002 he held sales and product management functions for datacenter providers Equinix and Interxion in Europe.

Chris van Zinnicq Bergmann
Head of Carrier Sales in Europe at Global Cloud Xchange

Chris van Zinnicq Bergmann has over twenty years of experience in the global telecommunications sector. He started his telecommunications career in Amsterdam where he held corporate as well as sales related positions at BT, Unisource (a joint venture between KPN, Telia and Swisscom) and AT&T-Unisource.

In 1999, Chris left Europe to move to Los Angeles, where he became a member of the team that started the operations of Asia Global Crossing, which later evolved into Pacnet, a subsea cable operator in the Asia Pacific region which in 2014 has been acquired by Telstra. In 2002, Chris relocated to Singapore from where he headed the company’s market expansion activities in Southeast Asia and India and from 2005 to 2008 was the regional head for Southeast Asia and India, responsible for the company’s wholesale and enterprise business in this region. At the end of 2008, Chris moved back to Amsterdam to take up the role of regional head for Europe and North America (until the end of 2010) and subsequently for Europe, the Middle East and India. In 2014, Chris joined Global Cloud Xchange and is currently based in Amsterdam as the head of Carrier Sales in Europe.

Sander Barens
VP Commercial Developments at Expereo International
After joining Expereo 9 years ago and setting up the first international Expereo office in Singapore back in 2008, Sander now works out of the HQ in Amsterdam as the Global Head of Carrier Relations. His team is spread out globally across 5 offices and combined manage about 2,500 local partners that make up all the portfolio and buying options of Expereo International. Before joining Expereo Sander worked out of Australia for BT Global Services and Infonet Services Corp. His telecom career started in 1997 with Unisource Business Services and AT&T Unisource in Europe. Nice to know fact: before Sander went into telecom he was a helicopter pilot.
Miguel Lopes
VP Product Line Management at Dialogic

Miguel started in 1999 as a developer and in 2002 he co-founded an MSP in West Africa. In 2007 he also co-founded what would be the first Wi-Fi ISP in Cape Verde. Five years later, Miguel accepted the invitation from Ezelink Telecom in Dubai, to revolutionize the company strategy in the Intelligent Hotspot, IoT and Smart City solutions as Director of Technology.

Afterwards, since 2015, Miguel has been working in Silicon Valley and been involved in several projects to help Service Providers monetize their voice business. Currently, he is Vice President of Product Line Management for Applications at Dialogic.
